Now would be as good a time as ever to explain many of the recent issues at Model U.N. Many of you may have noticed that as of late meetings have been less active, and there’s been a repeated pattern of decreased attendance. Through my own insight and understand there are two major reasons behind this:
1. Member students have been busy. Student athletes are unable to attend each meeting and must meet requirements for after school practice, and many students face an increased workload due to the school year nearing midterm exams.
2. Topic advancement happened abruptly and not as it was planned. Over the past two months I was unable to participate heavily in the meetings and planning events due illness that affected both my schoolwork and meeting the requirements for each meeting.
Despite these setbacks, club work will resume as planned. I just thought I’d quickly post this as a bit of a bump to reassure that Model U.N is still here, and very much alive.
